Advocacy Project: Healthy People/ THOMAS

The Healthy People 2020 objective that I have chosen is reducing the amount of toxic pollutants released into the environment. This objective is under the Toxics and Waste category.  The baseline for this objective is 3.9 billion pounds of toxic pollutants were released in to the environment in 2008.  The target to reduce this amount down to is 3.5 billion pounds.

    I think you chose a good act to support! That is crazy to read about how many billions of pounds of toxic wastes are released into our environment. It's no wonder people get cancer and other illnesses so frequently these days. Your picture says it all!

    Cute pic, really showcase that we're all contaminated. I really like act you want to support as well. Seeing the magnitude how we're all affected by our water and environment makes me think- who would actually vote no to clean water.
